Travis Armstrong Leva
1979 ~ 2012
Travis
passed away unexpectedly in Cambodia while doing one of the things that
he loved most, traveling to foreign places to forge new adventures. At
33, Travis was taken from this world far, far too soon; however, his
spirit will undoubtedly live on forever. Travis is survived by his
father William and his older sister Shannon and will remain beloved in
the memories of countless friends, near and far. As a precocious kid,
Travis grew up in Woodinville, WA and spent time living in Kentucky,
ultimately graduating from Interlake High School in Bellevue, WA. As an
adult, Travis lived in Seattle, WA where he was a fixture in the local
music scene, working security at shows, tending bar at clubs throughout
the city and supporting local punk rock bands on national tours. He
lived punk rock. It was in his soul through his passion for the music,
his identification with the culture and through his approach to life;
living it to the fullest, and as he would be the first to admit,
sometimes to the extreme. Travis was many things to many, many people; a
son, a brother, a friend, a love of one's life, a co-worker, a gentle
6'8" giant, a source of constant comedy relief, a world traveler, an
intellectual, a foodie, a geek, someone who gave the absolute best hugs,
and on and on. Travis touched so many lives through his ability to
connect on a personal level with people from all walks of life and
bringing people together in a truly genuine way. He cared deeply about
those around him and was happiest when surrounded by his friends and
family. He was a positive force and was always there to lift the spirits
of others. Travis will be missed immensely but he will always be
remembered.
